The Association held its first breakfast meeting of the year Wednesday 18thJanuary, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Le Hocq Suite. The meeting was attended by 30 member agents and 3 speakers.
JEAA President, Nick Dodsley thanked members for attending and introduced the speakers Alex Blackwell, from System Labs and Mohammed Karmin & Robbie Jakob-Whitworth from Next DLP.
Alex Blackwell provided an interesting insight into cyber security solutions, covering End Point Protection, Patching & Vulnerability management, Data Loss Prevention, Cloud back-up, and Phishing Awareness & training. Alex provided valuable advice on how to address each point.
Mohammed Karmin & Robbie Jakob-Whitworth informed us in further detail about Data Loss Protection. They explained about the different forms of Data, and how/where Data can be leaked. They advised us of the consequences of a data breach and how to prevent data loss, mitigate our risk and educate our workforce.
Nick Dodsley thanked the speakers, followed by questions. The meeting closed with coffee and networking.
Breakfast meetings are held quarterly keeping member firms up to date with the latest legislations, demonstrating our members professionalism and commitment to the industry.
